How a passion for hair and a love of beautiful spaces became Maison Hair Studio.
From a dream to a destination
Sophie Laurent spent 12 years in some of London's most prestigious salons before founding Maison in 2019. Frustrated by the impersonal, assembly-line feel of high-street salons, she envisioned a studio where every client felt like the only appointment of the day.
"I wanted to create a place where the experience is just as important as the haircut," Sophie explains. "A place you actually look forward to visiting."
That vision became Maison Hair Studio — a beautifully restored Victorian townhouse in the heart of Shoreditch, where precision craftsmanship meets genuine warmth.
Designed to make you feel
Our studio occupies a converted Victorian townhouse with original brickwork, hand-selected Italian furniture, and natural light flooding in through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Every detail has been considered — from the hand-poured soy candles that scent the air to the curated playlists that set the mood. Complimentary refreshments (including locally roasted coffee and organic teas) are served throughout your visit.
This isn't just a salon. It's a retreat.

We use exclusively cruelty-free, vegan-friendly products from Davines, Olaplex, and Kevin Murphy. Our packaging is recycled and our energy is 100% renewable.
